All I have to say about last nights show is WOW! Very much worth the wait to see Jeff Lynne’s ELO Live. Definitely a once in a lifetime show.
Started out the evening with another early entry VIP (really the only way to go to shows anymore). This one was a little better than the night before with a huge tented area (fully under cover from the sun) a ton of tables, ELO memorabilia, very good food with full bar and access to the upper concourse area of the arena with more drinks, food and all the merch!
The show started a little late, actually a little more than a half an hour and people were starting to get a little anxious, but everyone settled right down after the came on, opening with Standing in the Rain and Evil Woman followed by massive hit after hit such as; All Over the World, Showdown, Livin’ Thing, Rockaria!, Can’t Get It Out of My Head, Sweet Talkin’ Woman, Telephone Line, Don’t Bring Me Down, Turn to Stone, Mr. Blue Sky and even a Traveling Wilburys cover Handle With Care. And if that wasn’t enough, the encore was none other than Roll Over Beethoven!
Running a little tired today with little sleep over the last 3 days of concerts, but well worth ending my weekend with this incredible show.
