Paul Simon – Chateau Ste Michele Winery – Woodinville WA : May 29 2016

Paul Simon put on a great show last night at the Winery in Woodinville. It was a nice night and after a day of very heavy rain, it cleared up right before the show and ended up being a clear warm evening.

He came on at around 7:30 and played around 25 songs ending with the encores of five songs with the last song being one of my all time favorite Simon and Garfunkel songs The Boxer.

Buddy Guy – Pantages Theater – Tacoma WA : May 25 2016

Had a great time at the Pantages Theater in Tacoma on Wednesday night. Buy guy put on an incredible show and was as entertaining as usual. I have seen Buddy a few times, and each time he puts on a very entertaining show. His stories about growing up and his early days, his relationships with some of the music greats and hearing a person of his generations thoughts and insights on today’s issues was fun to hear.

Billy Joel – Safeco Field – Seattle WA : May 20 2016

Made it to the Billy Joel show at Safeco Field in Seattle last night. He performed incredibly and played all of the old favorites that I haven’t heard since decades ago…makes me want to dust off all my old cassette tapes and albums and give them a good listen. He can still sing beautifully, hitting all the low and high notes nailing every song. Some of Toni and my favorite songs of the night were, Vienna, New York State of Mind, Say Goodbye to Hollywood, Pressure and of course his signature song Piano Man.

Joe Walsh / Bad Company – Concord Pavilion – Concord CA : May 17 2016

Great double headline show at the very beautiful Concord Pavilion in Concord California on Tuesday May 17th, 2016.

Joe Walsh opened up the night with the songs, I Can Play That Rock and Roll and an old James Gang song Walk Away. He had a great set with a few other James Gang songs and of course a few Eagles songs, but the songs I enjoyed the most in his set were his solo stuff In the City, Life’s Been Good and his encore song Rocky Mountain Way..

Bad Company came up around 9:30 headed up by Paul Rogers and Simon Kirke from the original line-up and with the great guitarist Howard Leese from Heart. They put on an incredible show as well with tons of the classic rock songs such as Feel Like Makin’ Love, Rock ‘N’ Roll Fantasy, Shooting Star and the great acoustic song Seagull. My favorite song of the night was one of their encores and they namesake song Bad Company.. What a great show and an incredible night with two of the greatest classic rock bands of the 70’s.

The WHO – Key Arena – Seattle : May 15 2016

Great show last night at the Key Arena in Seattle. This was The Who at 50 show which was rescheduled from back in September of last year. Roger and Pete still have what it takes to put on a great Rock show. Even after 50 years of performing, they can still bring the house down…Roger’s still has a great deal of vocal range and Pete continues to kill it on the guitar. With so many years of hits, they could play forever, but kept it to about 22 songs, and just over 2 hours. What a great set of songs it was, with stuff from early on such as My Generation and I Can See For Miles, through the seventies with The Kid’s are Alright, Baba O’Riley and Behind Blue Eyes. The eighties were well represented with You Better You Bet and Eminence Front which has always been one of mu all time favorite Who songs.

Sad to think this will probably be the last time I wills see The WHO perform live, but I have seen them 4 times throughout the years, and will keep their music playing loud on my radio for many years to come.
